Getting to Know Your TSC Host: Nick Vescio

Nick Vescio is a playful TSC host who loves to joke and have fun. We recently sat down with Nick to learn a little more about him!

How did your mom/dad influence the person you are today?

I will never live up to the incredible level of selflessness and sacrifice my parents afforded my sister and I. It’s something that I took for granted as a kid and only truly came to appreciate when I became a parent myself. I only hope to be half the parent to Rocco and Lennox that either of them are to me.

What’s your favourite room to spend time in at home?

The bathroom! There’s a lock on the door. It’s private, quiet and pee-ceful. You can go in feeling and looking terrible and walk out feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Can you share a fitness tip?

Finding an activity that you enjoy doing is much easier than forcing yourself to do an activity you that you don’t.

Are you a tea or coffee person?

Coffee. I only started drinking coffee when Rocco was born, I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?

I had the privilege of visiting the small town that my father is from in Italy with my wife, my parents, my sister and her husband. It was a very humbling experience to walk up the hillside to the one room house my father was raised in (that is now a tool shed) and literally step into my family’s history.

Cake or pie?

Cake, but if someone is serving pie, it’s not like I’m sticking to my morals and saying “No sir, I will not accept your pie offering. Not today, not never. For I am I Cake Man. From this day til the end of my days.” No. I’ll eat the pie. it’s rude not to.

Do you have a daily mantra?

I do. “What can I do to make Amanda’s life easier?” Amanda’s my wife, she gave me the mantra.

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

“We might be out-played, but we will NOT be outworked.” ~Mike Black (Basketball Coach)

What is your perfect pizza?

I usually order chicken, roasted red pepper and onion. It’s delicious because of the ingredients, but it’s perfect because everyone else seems to hate it and that guarantees they won’t steal a slice.
